While going through the history and the evolutionary process of revolutionization of arts, one can easily comprehend the diversity that the artistic world of modeling and animation has to offer. One of the rapidly growing and most diverse industries of arts is 3D modeling. The sculpture modeling has evolved from being carvings on caves and walls to 3D models and architecture designed through computer software such as AutoCAD.

The last three decades have been fruitful and innovative for the modeling and sculpture designing industries of arts, because of the technology. The technology has taken over almost every present and existing industries and sectors of the world. This take-over has been especially beneficial for the arts industry as automation of various designing, carving and crafting processes has made it easier for the artists to not only develop high-quality artistic products and sculpture but also to improve his/her skills and diversify his/her expertise area by learning new skills.

Basic Concepts of Rendering and Animation:

Rendering is much more than a new and latest version of fine arts, it an evolved industry of arts that provides you with a better understanding of the artistic world. This evolutionary industry has introduced innovation, relative thinking, and ease of process to the world of fine arts.

3D rendering and animation are all about representing and modeling a computer wireframe with properties such as texture, color, and various patterns. Every 3D rendered model has two basic software elements they are:

  • Renderers
  • Modelers

3D rendering starts with a well-structured 3D model. This model is signified as a sequence of planar and regular geometric shapes; these shapes are connected with each other in three-dimensional space. Usually, polygons are used as these flat geometric shapes. These elementary geometric shapes and figures form the basics of 3D animation rendering and modeling. These shapes are then manipulated in such a way, using computer software and tools; to create a well-formed 3D model. Tools and online applications such as Rhinoceros 3D, Google SketchUp, and 3DStudio Max are widely used computer programs to design and craft high-quality 3D models and architectural designs. In addition to these rendering programs, there is other software which is used to improve and enhance the design, colors, and patterns of the rendered 3D model such as Photoshop. These online post-production tools are mostly used to give a final artistic touch to the developed model. It is crucial that each software and computer tool is used in an orderly manner, to create a high-quality 3D model. It is important that you use different tools and applications to keep yourself updated with the current and developing trends and advancements in the fine arts industry.

Conclusion:

3D artwork is now used in almost every product and industry. Whether its print media or the magazine publication or books and novels publications or electronic media, 3D animation and modeling have become a customer-grabbing instrument for various industries. In recent years, both the 3D rendering and 3D animation has become the most universal and widely-practiced form of fine arts.
